Safer Business Scheme (formerly PARC - Poole Against Retail Crime) and Safe and Sound (formerly PubWatch)
The Safer Business Scheme (SBS) and Safe and Sound (SAS) are continuing to go from strength to strength making Poole both a safe place to shop and socialise.
What is SBS and SAS ?
- SBS is a scheme where local Poole businesses and retailers have joined together to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour
- SAS is similar but is focused on night time ecnomy, bars, clubs and other licenced premises
- It aims to prevent offences before they occur and to detect offences
- To exclude (ban) troublemakers
- A person excluded from one members premises is automatically banned from all members
- Names and photographs are shared amongst SBS members and the Police, and likewise for SAS members and the Police
- The schemes are in place to make Poole a safer place to shop and socialise
