About PTCM

The Poole Town Centre Management Board was established in May 2000 supported by a handful of town centre businesses along with the pro-active Tourism and Communications Department of the Borough of Poole. Born out of the Quay Area Quality Team, Poole Town Centre Management Board established itself as the first point of contact for all matters relating to the town centre.

In the first 3 years, the Poole Town Centre Management Board set up the many projects seen in most Town Centre schemes (Safer Business Scheme formerly know as Poole Against Retail Crime, Safe and Sound formerly know as Pubwatch, Radiolink, Seasonal event campaigns and environmental enhancement projects, etc)

But the challenge is to move on strategically to ensure the town centre is not left behind .
Poole Town Centre Management (PTCM) is there to improve the offer in Poole Town Centre to ensure that it remains competative with other towns.

What we do:

1) Promotions and events including Christmas lights, Easter events, media advertising and much more

2) Radio Link and exclusion of persons from premises, for retailers and licence premises through the Safer Business Scheme and Safe and Sound

3)Strategic Development of the Town Centre

4) Management of the High St including the Street Markets and Concessions
